A Journey Through Preemiehood

Documenting the Journey

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

I became a preemie mom in the fall of 2021, to my 32 week preemie Kaylee Jane. She was 2 pounds.

I was looking for a preemie community to lend support during a very difficult time in my life. I couldn’t find one, ..so I created it.

My “mom friends” couldn’t quite relate to what I was going through with navigating the NICU.

My husband and I had each other while we were clinging to every day praying for Kaylee’s health.

It was scary and lonely at times for both of us.

I found healing in sharing my thoughts and feelings on my story on my Tik Tok, page documenting my story and perspective.

I gained 14K followers somewhat “overnight” and found the support I was looking for.

At the time, hearing from my followers with words of encouragement whether they had a preemie baby that is now a “strong and healthy teenager” or “I am also struggling through the NICU experience” it was helpful to read and connect with. I have a page filled with resources that helped me while navigating Preemiehood
